Ecological Forestry Equipment.

The Ecological Forestry Equipment Financing Program aims to support eligible forestry businesses with the adoption of sustainable forestry practices. Financing that is complementary to the Ecological Forestry Equipment Program administered by the Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC) can assist eligible forest businesses in acquiring harvesting equipment suitable for ecologically sustainable harvesting practices.

Available for all types of forestry equipment:

New Equipment

  • Amortization of up to 7 years
  • Maximum of 75% financing of value of equipment purchased (post-application of grant proceeds)

Used Equipment and Retrofits

  • Amortization of up to 5 years
  • Maximum of 70% financing of value of equipment purchased (post-application of grant proceeds)

Retrofits

  • Amortization of up to 5 years
  • Maximum of 70% financing of value of equipment purchased (post-application of grant proceeds)

Applicant must:

  • Be eligible for funding under the Ecological Forestry Equipment Program administered by the NSCC.
  • Meet standard Timber Loan Board lending requirements.
  • Be in good standing with relevant provincial requirements.
  • Assignment of grant proceeds to the Timber Loan Board.
